Chose a day in a week where you can able to forge a strong bond with your kids. Make it a point that your kids will recognize this day as a special day where you can spend the morning with your kids every week. Do not entertain phone calls and see to it that there are no interruptions this day. Cuddle your kids, listen to your kids’ favorite nursery rhymes or perhaps have a little game with them. Before he goes to school, sit down, get relaxed and serve your kids with their favorite breakfast. Enjoy the breakfast with your kids and see to it that they are not on a rush whilst eating.

Be part of your kids’ unending quest for knowledge and wisdom.  It is always nice to let your kids get indulged with children’s classics such as fairy tales, Walt Disney shows, and re-runs of Barney and Friends and Sesame Street, but see to it that your kids are provided with necessary children education at all times.

Invest on things that can provide your kids learning that they need. You may opt to buy a computer and educational, compelling and child-friendly software or CD-ROM disks. During your free time guide your kids explore further the different offerings provided by the software or CD-ROM disks.

Call home no matter what. Even if you are so busy with your work, always find time to call home to your kids and say hi to them. During odd times, it is a nice idea to surprise your kids with a call, saying, “How are you?” “Have you taken your meal?”Or “How is it going in your school?” Although your messages can be brief they are filled with tender loving care (TLC).

Bonding with kids during bedtime. The day is about to be over and everyone seemed poised to retire on their beds. If you spent a nice time with your kids during the morning you can complement this further by virtue of spending special time with your kids every nighttime. See to it that you spend few minutes of your time with your kids. Point out the highlights of the day and inquire with zest about what transpired on their day at school. This will make your kids all smile as you can see them summon the angelic faces on them in no time. They will be glad to recount what happened at the school such as the games and stories their teachers shared with them. An icing on the cake for a blissful day would be handing them a glass of warm milk and light snack and congratulate your kids for any job well done or good deeds they whipped up for the day.
